La Pavoni Europiccola '09
$425.00
Out of stock
This is "new" for us, at only 15 years old. So not "vintage" in any way in our estimation. Just a modern, dead stock, Europiccola.
But for the few who find their way here and ask, "Don't you ever get anything newer?" Here's your chance!
No fooling with "hi/lo" switches, no old fashioned hissing pressure relief valve of the classic Pavoni levers. This "final" iteration of the Europiccola (the "Millennium" model) uses a standard "set it and forget it" one switch pressurestat, to automatically turn the heating element on and off (by measuring boiler pressure that = temperature.) So less to think about, if thinking about making espresso is not your priority.
Very low hours, and it looks it, with lots of shiny Italian chrome. These "Millennium" Pavoni machines have thinner chrome plating (everything in the world gets "cheaper" in case you haven't noticed!) so despite the shine, their drip trays can have issues with chrome loss and rust, and this one had a couple spots. So rather than passing it along to the next person for corrosion to continue, we decided to treat it with rust converter, and metallic paint. Not exactly an elegant result, but hopefully do the job of protecting it in the future. Especially if you stow it wiped off and dry. Of course, that's under the plastic tray, so visually this will still look like a "like new" Pavoni on your counter.
As usual, it's been rebuilt with all new group seals, cap seal, steam shaft seal, descaled, lubed and adjusted. Even installed a new shower screen, to go with the new portafilter gasket.
Comes with double basket, and 51mm tamper.
(To simplify inquiries, we'll ship this anywhere in the US for an additional 60 bucks! Otherwise make an appt to come by with the cash!)
