La Pavoni Europiccola '09
$425.00
Out of stock
This is "new" for us, at only 15 years old. So not "vintage" in any way in our estimation. Just a modern, dead stock, Europiccola.
But for the few who find their way here and ask, "Don't you ever get anything newer?" Here's your chance!
No fooling with "hi/lo" switches, no old fashioned hissing pressure relief valve of the classic Pavoni levers. This "final" iteration of the Europiccola (the "Millennium" model) uses a standard "set it and forget it" one switch pressurestat, that automatically turns the heating element on and off, that measures boiler pressure (= temperature.)
Very low hours, and looks it, with lots of shiny Italian chrome. The "modern" Pavoni machines have thiner chrome plating (everything in the world gets "cheaper" in case you haven't noticed!) so despite the shine, the drip trays can have issues with plating loss and rust, and this one had a couple spots. So rather than passing it along to the next person for typical corrosion to continue, we decided to treat it with rust converter, and use metallic paint. Not exactly pretty, but should do the job of protecting it in the future. Especially if you store it wiped off and dry. Of course, that's under the plastic tray, so visually you'll still end up with a "like new" Pavoni on your counter.
As usual, it's been rebuilt with all new group seals, cap seal, steam shaft seal, descaled, lubed and adjusted. Even installed a new shower screen, to go with the portafilter gasket.
Comes with double basket, and 51mm tamper.
(To simplify inquiries, we'll ship this anywhere in the US for an additional 60 bucks!)
