The iconic Atomic moka maker. Worth buying just to have as Mid Century art on a shelf!
We had an opportunity to acquire three pieces from a local "moka pot collector," so couldn't resist and bought them all. Passing this one along at cost to the loyal Underground. But know it's not rebuilt. (Meaning, it works, but we didn't put any new rubber into it!)
One of the Atomics that Mr. Cara had his sons install manometers into. (The story about the kids drilling holes in Atomics after school for their dad, is classic Cara lore.) If you see an Atomic with a gauge, it came from San Francisco!
This one even comes with the usually missing original "pot," but IS missing the ball handled "steam" rod that blocks the coffee flow, and forces steam out the wand. Which means unless you buy a replacement rod, this will only be making "stove top espresso," not cappuccinos!
After seeing Atomics listed for more than 500 bucks on ebay, here's a chance to pick up a genuine vintage one at a realistic price!
